Greylock Glen Fall 2009: Rare Plants and Natural Communities in Greylock Glen in Western Massachusetts

Biodrawversity completed an exhaustive botanical survey of the 1,063-acre Greylock Glen in Adams, Massachusetts. The work was required for the environmental review and planning of a proposed outdoor recreation and education facility along with nearly 50 kilometers of new or upgraded multi-use trails. The survey identified 439 plant species, including 21 state-listed or watch-list species and two extremely rare orchids (Endangered in Massachusetts) that had never been documented in the area.

We regularly provide this kind of environmental consulting service to clients throughout the Northeast and beyond.
