Fall 2010: Fieldwork finally winding down

Biodrawversity had a great field season, starting in April for wood turtles and larval dragonflies, and won’t stop until November when ice begins to form in northern Vermont and we SCUBA dive for softshell turtles. Our work spanned a geographic area from central New York to central Maine, and from Cape Cod to northern Vermont. In 2010 alone, Biodrawversity conducted surveys for mussels, snails, crayfish, zebra mussels, dragonflies, fish, and wood turtles in more than 100 streams and rivers and in over 40 ponds. Our long-standing relationships and many first-time clients helped make 2010 our best year ever.
